Position Summary
Senior Network Engineer
Responsibilities
Support day to day network operations & drive / support Network projects
Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of WAN, LAN, WLAN
Maintain network routing using Dynamic and Inter-VLAN Routing
IOS upgrades on Cisco Routers, Cisco Catalyst Switches and Cisco WLC’s
Have experience in a Cisco environment with various network protocols (ex. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
Install, maintain and troubleshoot network equipment, perform fault and problem management to ensure services are maintained according to the service levels defined
Experience in Configuration of Cisco 2600, 3900, 7500, 7200 and ASR Series Routers and 4500, 6500 Series Core-Switches & 2950, 4500, 3750 Series Access Layer Switches, and DC switches nexus 2k, 5k,7k
Hands of experience on Cisco ASA’s. Should be comfortable with troubleshooting VPN issues.
Troubleshooting on various layers (i.e. Access, Distribution, WLAN, Perimeter layer and at MPLS end) in case of slowness/network down issue reported from processes and identify the root cause
Experience in design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex networks
Ability to work in shifts & support 24×7 operations
Good understanding of structured cabling standards
Excellent problem solving skills
Good team player
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good documentation skills
Requirements
Work experience – 7 to 10 yrs. IT infra experience, with min. 4-6 yrs. in Network support
Knowledge & skills – CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA / JNCIS & other Network industry certifications
Education, etc. – Bachelor degree in IT / Science
