4.Overall target of the position
· Comply with theQuality and EHS rules from the project, business, sector and corporate withinthe own
area of activity
· In general, theProduct Engineer complies with the Plant Business Management System MEGA, the
Plant Business Manuals (PBM), ProjectEngineering File (PEF) and the Project Management File
(PMF) and applies the imposed tools.He/she ensures on time delivery of the project engineering
activities to contractualrequirements.
· Particularly, theProduct Engineer has the technical and time schedule responsibility for theengineering
work and/or services assigned to him/herby the LE
· Supports LeadEngineer in their project activities
· Report to the LE thestatus of the assigned tasks.
· Ensures that he isalways up to date for the available new technologies and the current codes and
standards
· The Product EngineerBOP has the responsibility for the technical management of the BOP Equipment,
which includes equipment such ascranes, elevators, air compressors, Hydrogen Generation Plant ,
water treatment, plate heatexchangers, miscellaneous pumps, debris filters, tube cleaning systems and
other miscellaneous equipment of powerplant etc.
· Further the Product EngineerBOP shall also support the Tender Activities.
5.Job Assignments, Measurements & Sphere of Influence
5.1Tasks & Responsibilities
· Participate in theelaboration of the procurement concept (Engineering/Procurement Plan EPP) as
required by the LE or the ProjectEngineering Manager (PEM), and implement the EPP.
· Provide input for thepreparation of system time schedule and EDM upon request by LE.
· Take the basic inputdata from the LE in order to prepare the technical dossier.
· Prepare the TechnicalDossier for Procurement to issue for quotation ensuring that it complies withthe
contract client technical documentrequirements and contract time schedule for delivery of equipment
and documents.
· Support thepreparation of the Quality Control Plan (QCP)
· Prepare the Requestfor Quotation (RfQ) and Purchase requisition with the appropriate template
· Negotiate and agreewith the suppliers the technical solution of the equipment
· Prepare the technicaltender analysis (supplier evaluation) including comparison with basis used for
tender PCDB.
· Prepare and sign thefinal equipment technical dossier.
· Provide support toProcurement to define the technical input to the liquidated damages andguarantee
document.
· Technically managethe equipment subcontract.
· Support Procurementin the management of all claims and variations from the subcontractor.
· Manage interfacesbetween the equipment subcontractor and all internal participants and external
partners, and take action if necessary.
· In case of supplierand/or customer meeting, prepare or ensure the preparation of meeting reports.
· Provide informationto prepare the engineering progress upon request by LE.
· Ensure completenessand full compliance of the deliverables with the contractual specifications. Incase
of unavoidable deviation betweenALSTOM and supplier requirements, ask for approval by the LE
· Ensure that documentsare prepared according to the engineering time schedule
· Analyse clientcomments and elaborate comprehensive answers.
· Participate in designand/or technical reviews/ design freeze (internal/external) and ensure that
corrective actions defined by thereviews are closed on time.
· Represent theassigned scope at meetings with the customer if required.
· Validate documentswith the appropriate engineering status and distribute according to the project
specific distribution key.
· Ensure on timeequipment follow-up (EFU-process) for the preparation of the packing list.
· Prepare cost tocomplete if required by the LE (engineering hours and hardware cost)
· Participate inacceptance test at the supplier’s as required and prepare the correspondingacceptance
checklist
· Review of O&M anderection documentation
· Support the erectionand commissioning activities
· Prepare reply of NonConformance Reports (NCR) and take the necessary actions.
· Prepare DCR’s, FSI incase of changes during construction (if necessary)
· Close out punch listitems to obtain PAC and FAC as required by the LE.
· Prepare as-builtdocumentation as required by the LE

· Ensure the feed-backof experience from the project via the LE or directly in the ExperienceResponse
System (ERS)

least three years in power plantdesign and good knowledge appropriate to the technical activity
involved, including interfaceclarification beyond this activity.
