Be an architect of IT transformation and growth.
The G.M of IT Strategy planning is a part of a team whose mission is to drive transformation, growth, innovation, and scale for the IT division. The team will work directly with the business heads and senior executives to ensure a sharp focus on long-term strategic priorities and that our shorter-term plans are aligned with these directions. He/She will be instrumental in defining IT strategies and driving them towards execution. Key work content includes:
Crystallizing and documenting IT strategy plan annually
Identification of new strategic opportunities for supporting business and IT imperatives , IT excellence and partner strategies
Driving projects aimed at strengthening and leveraging our innovation capabilities
Screening and strategic due diligence of major partner alignment and co-creation moves.
The work also involves liaising with the corporate strategy team to ensure our strategies are optimally aligned with the rest of the corporation.
Define and regularly update IT roadmap for current, future needs keeping in mind business goals
Drive and report progress of key IT Strategy programs against balanced score card.
Contribute to IT budgeting including planning, budgeting, monitoring and control
Evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of solutions in areas such as Digital Transformation, Analytics, Cloud Computing, Emerging Technologies, Portfolio Management etc.
Contribute to building and management of relationships with outsourcing partners, including responsibility for contracts, performance and SLAs
Developing detailed functional specifications and architecture
Contribute in business and IT architecture alignment
Working alongside the business team with potential prospects, suppliers on all IT sales, demonstrations, product development and management
Establish, build and manage relationship with BU and user SPOC’s to drive their priorities.
Establish and global best practices for the strategy function
Contribute to enhancement of IT team capabilities
Enhance IT team performance
Establish scorecard and dashboard’s for IT team success
Desired Profile:
BE and MBA from a premier institute
Over 10 years of experience in Strategic IT management including definition of IT strategy & roadmaps, technology selection & implementation, IT Governance, IT Operating model, IT organization design, Technology architecture
Experience in a strategy consulting firm or business organization handling IT strategic function or IT management operations
At least 5 year experience of leading IT strategy function and teams across geographies.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills,
Must have strong experience in IT Application and Infrastructure development, Program Management, Change management.
Working experience of planning, evaluation, selection and implementation program governance for large IT initiatives
Well versed with upcoming technologies such as Virtualization, Cloud computing, Enterprise Mobility, Green IT.
Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with business partners, manage multiple teams and locations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with technical / non- technical members of the organization including senior management.
Should have good experience in handling vendors and implementation partners.
Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills
